- Issue license to banks and financial institutions and regulate by issuing directives/circulars/notices,
- Regulate merger and acquisition,
- Provide refinance to BFIs,
- Publish monthly and quarterly statistics/reports of banks and financial institutions,
- Handle grievances of financial consumers.
